No place for negativity but Emenike...
Time for him to be a bench warmer. I cannot remember the last player to be offside more than him. Zamora maybe? at least he stuck it in the net.

Any player can run around like him. His head is too big for his body.

Start with Sakho next game

An improvement on Jelavic... but not by much

Adequate .. no more than that

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
I felt he looked quicker vs Spurs but his control of the ball isn't far off Carlton Cole tbh, too erratic. Sakho will be ahead of him for sure

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
His pace amd power frightened the spurs defence last week. That's enough for me to know he will come good.

Compared to the usual dross when we make these annual signings he plays like Maradona, but it's time he was benched now and send him back in the summer. Think he's decent though, plus seems to have a good attitude/work rate.

He's shit. Closing down the goalie and running around like a headless chicken doesn't make him good. Useless when the ball is near him and doesn't anticipate crosses well at all.

Second choice striker after Sakho for me.

Lots of talent there - plenty more to come from him I think.

Offsides? Mike Small.

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
Was completely isolated first half, no one running past him or off him. His lack of awareness in making runs would be my only criticism today, he's got something about him though and will do til the end of the season.

Honest Hammer

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
He is a serious improvement on Jelavic.

My heart drops a good foot less when we have to play him, than when we had to play Jelavic.

But it still drops.

That said, I haven't yet given up hope he'll improve

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
A back up striker, struggled in his own up front first half, didn't really improve when Carroll came on, won't be staying too many more with a bit of luck.

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
He's absolutely dogshit, no surprise that as soon as Sakho came on we looked much more of a threat and he's dangerously short of Match fitness.

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
Eminike is a useful player as backup.

He was getting caught offside a lot, but in fairness at least one offside awarded against him WASN'T.
Perhaps the linesman flagged him simply out of habit.

Really?

Is that why he had a song about kicking the ball into row Z?

Eminike is shit ! Yeah rightO wantone!

Give the bloke a chance, how long to get accustomed to the Prem? He'll only get better!

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
He's a frustrating sort of player. Big, powerful and fast, but I don't get the impression he's a particularly intelligent footballer. With the ball buzzing around him with Payet, Lanzini etc, he looks a bit lost when it comes to him.

That said, as a 4th choice striker is give him a perminantly deal. Hel'll score goals, and if you bring him on with 20 minutes left hell cause some problems.

Hopefully we won't need to start him again though.

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
i want...
Do leave off...

I trust Bilic to use him when needed...

He did OK...when we didnt have many options...he is only 3rd or 4th choice striker...

Not easy playing alone up front...

Carroll did little except a good flick on...and chasing defenders...

Sakho is different quslity...as he showed...

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
As long as Sakho and Carroll stay fit, its the bench from now on, when Valencia is back, its the reserves at best.

Re: No place for negativity but Emenike...
Emenike was ok until Carroll came on? Who helped score three goals??

Fuck me. Emenike is shit, we can all agree on that?

Offside much?
